Dental implants in Bishkek

A dental implant is placed in the jawbone and serves as a support for a future crown or denture. Once treatment is complete, the restoration helps bring back the appearance of your teeth and chewing function. We use Korean Dentium and MegaGen implants. Solutions are available both for a single missing tooth and for restoring a full dental arch.

When implants are considered

  • One tooth is missing and you want to avoid grinding down the neighbouring teeth for a bridge.
  • Several teeth are missing and a fixed or more stable restoration is needed.
  • A removable denture is not stable enough or is uncomfortable to wear.
  • A full dental arch needs restoring — including with the All-on-4 or All-on-6 protocols, if diagnostics show they suit you.

How implant treatment works

  • Consultation and a 3D scan of the jaws (CBCT): the doctor assesses the bone volume and draws up an individual treatment plan.
  • Implant placement: the procedure is done under local anaesthesia; at the patient's request, treatment under sedation is possible — after a consultation and a check for contraindications.
  • Healing: osseointegration — the implant fusing with the bone — usually takes a few months. If indicated, a temporary crown or denture may be placed during this period.
  • Permanent restoration: once healing is complete, the doctor fixes a permanent crown or denture made of a material chosen according to clinical indications.

If there is not enough bone

  • Sometimes the bone volume needs to be increased before an implant can be placed. Depending on the clinical situation, the doctor may recommend bone grafting or a sinus lift. Whether a procedure is needed, and which one, is decided after an examination.

Frequently asked questions

Does implant placement hurt?

Anaesthesia is given before the procedure, so patients usually feel no pain while the implant is placed. Afterwards there may be temporary soreness, swelling or other discomfort; the doctor will give advice on care and recovery. At the patient's request, treatment under sedation is possible after a consultation and a check for contraindications.

How long does an implant last?

It depends on your general health, oral hygiene, how the chewing load is distributed and how regularly you come for check-ups. The doctor will give individual advice on caring for the implant and the restoration.

Can an implant be placed right after an extraction?

In some cases immediate implant placement is possible. The decision is made after an examination and a scan, taking into account the bone condition, any inflammation and other clinical factors.
