Toothache rarely goes away on its own: it usually means there is inflammation in or around the tooth. Painkillers help you hold on until you see a dentist, but they do not treat the cause. Here is what you can do at home, what to avoid and when to see a doctor urgently.

| Periapical X-ray | ≈ 250 som |

If there is no swelling or fever and it is not hard to swallow or breathe — usually yes: a painkiller taken as directed and a cold compress on the outside will help. Call us in the morning. If swelling or fever appears, you need urgent help.
Sometimes it means the nerve has died and the inflammation has moved deeper, to the root. The tooth should be checked by a dentist even if it no longer hurts.
Treatment is done under anaesthesia. If you are very anxious or need a lot of work, it can be done under sedation.
Prices for the examination, X-ray and nerve treatment are in the table above. The final price depends on the cause of the pain — the doctor will tell you after the examination.
